The Stockton Police department recently experienced it’s largest increase of officers in over five years. The police force warmly welcomed nine new trainee officers joining it’s training program to prepare for official boarding onto the force and one new officer. The approval for additional officers has been long awaited by Police Chief Eric Jones.
“Today we are reaching a milestone,” Jones said before introducing the 10 newest members of his department. “This is the first time in a long time that we’ve gone over our authorized strength number of 365, so seven of these officers here are what we consider Measure A officers.”
